Our retreat has been thoughtfully designed for creative and wellness group getaways and is perfect for quilting, craft, sewing or yoga retreats. 

 

We have provided a peaceful and comfortable place to relax, with homely touches, comfortable furniture and excellent guest facilities.

Inside creative space:

    • • 10 work stations with daylight lamp lighting and waste bin (each guest has their own work desk and there are a few extras in case you need more space to craft)
    • • Ample power points and extra power boards are located around the studio area
      • Electronic height adjustable cutting table with OLFA rotary cutters and large cutting mats provided
      • Light box table for tracing designs
      • Patchwork design wall
      • 2 ironing boards and irons
      • Armchairs for relaxing or crafting
      • The workshop/studio retreat venue has ample natural lighting from the windows and large glass sliding doors, plus downlights and daylight lamps
      • A handy tea and coffee facility is located just off the studio area with a full size fridge for your snacks, cold drinks and milks. We want you to be free to focus on enjoying the retreat venue so have designed all of our conveniences so that you have minimal interruptions. Enjoy a quick, or lingering, coffee break then back to your activities!
      • First Aid kit located in the kitchenette area
      • A bathroom and toilet is conveniently located off the creative space area.
      • The workshop studio opens on to a peaceful deck area where you can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, relax with a cup of tea or continue with your project.

Wellness Activities

  • Both the inside and outside creative areas in the retreat venue can be set up for wellness activities such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates or Fitness based retreats.

  • The inside creative area is spacious, carpeted and is heated by an efficient gas heater. It is adjacent to a lovely decked area.

  • The alfresco entertaining area is a private and peaceful place for wellness activities, to take in the fresh air and listen to the native birdsong.

Outdoor creative areas

    • The alfresco entertaining area is a key feature of our retreat venue. It can be fully utilised for slightly messier creative pursuits such as:  printmaking, soap making, painting eco-dyeing, etc.

      Or utilise this area for the benefit of fresh air and enjoy outdoor yoga, fitness, Pilates, etc.

      When you’ve finished your day’s creative pursuits this space makes an ideal get together area for drinks before dinner, or to share inspiration and knowledge with your fellow guests.

    • Downstairs we have another outdoor creative area, which is undercover and has a practical concrete floor which can be easily utilised for more hands-on crafting, such as woodwork or ceramics.

      ** Plastic trestle tables can be provided for both these areas if required, just let us know in your booking request and we can get them ready for your visit.
